Happy Birthday Toothless Wylie!!!

Happy birthday to this sweet boy of mine. I love him to pieces! The day before Wylie was born I was reading my scriptures and came to Alma 48:17-18 in The Book of Mormon. Yes, I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As soon as I read these scriptures I had the distinct impression that Wylie had a strong testimony and wanted to be raised like these "men of God."

17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.
18 Behold, he was a man like unto Ammon, the son of Mosiah, yea, and even the other sons of Mosiah, yea, and also Alma and his sons, for they were all men of God.




I felt I had my work cut out for me. Wylie is a leader and has the desire to follow Christ and wants to be raised like this. I felt I had learned something about my baby that was soon to be born. The very next morning I went into labor with Wylie. Almost like he was waiting for me to learn this little lesson about him before he arrived in my arms.

Wylie is such a sweetheart. He helps his little sister Lilah out. He was so excited to get a brother when Myles was born. He is excited for his new brother to be born too.

He also just lost another tooth. He was so excited to pull it out on his own. He had me tie some floss around it and immediately yanked it out! I almost didn't get a picture he pulled it out so fast!


Wylie, the stud muffin, came home from school on his birthday with a cute booklet of pages from his classmates. They all wrote him notes. I noticed that several pages from girls told him how cute and nice he is. One even mentioned how the girl likes him because he makes her laugh! This boy sure is a lady's man! Yikes!

    This last picture is how old all your kids are in my mind. They are forever frozen at this age! Hah!

  Sunday, May 2, 2021   During fast and testimony meeting today (anyone is invited to share their testimony with the congregation, if they want, in this once-a-month meeting) I felt the pull to get up and share my testimony. It was strong enough to get me to jump out of my seat, yet I did not jump out of my seat. Each passing minute, each passing testimony, I was burning to get up, but I did not. This morning before church, I listened to a fantastic talk about promptings and acting on those first promptings! I listened to how the speaker explained that the adversary is usually the second thought and tries to use logic to talk us out of acting on that first prompting. I agreed and understood! Yet only a couple hours later, I was sitting in sacrament meeting justifying the first prompting to go up and share my testimony.   Monday, January 25, 2021- The weight of my blankets only made me want to stay in bed longer. I'm not a morning person regardless of not wanting to face Myles' doctor appointment. Myles decided he wanted to wear his super Mario brother hat from Halloween. Sure, why not?! When we arrived at the waiting room for the clinics in Primary Children's Hospital, I was taken back by the emptiness. The hospital, dedicated to the care of children, always has plenty to do and multiple options in the waiting room. We were once there for a swallow study and someone had the sole job to blow bubbles and play games to distract Myles and keep him happy during his testing. Anyways, thank you covid for destroying the fun for sick and sometimes scared kids waiting to be seen. 😓   We actually didn't have to wait long. Peaches the Miracle Puppy - The Second Miracle

Saturday, July 11, 2020  Our family has completely fallen for this cute fluff ball Peaches, as has many others in the neighborhood. She's got a lot of sass and tries to let Flash know she's boss. He tolerates her mostly. He's like a teenager annoyed with the younger sibling.   We ’ d spent the last couple weeks with the Wilber side of the family who came to town to visit us. That night we were going down the street with our cousins for our friend’s birthday party. As I was walking out the door, I HAD A THOUGHT to put Peaches in her kennel.
